Enrollment Procedures
The nomination of the candidate should be submitted to the International Office of TU Wien by the respective home university in advance of the stay. Applications must be submitted online via our mobility services portal at https://tiss.tuwien.ac.at/mobility.
The application is completed by filling out the respective nomination form, which should be signed by the person responsible at the home university as well as by the student and which, together with evidence of language competence (see welcome guide p. 14), should be sent to the International Office at exchangein@tuwien.ac.at. After the recognition of the application by the International Office the appropriate Letter of Acceptance will be sent directly to the student.
Arrival in Vienna – Enrolment
It is recommended to enrol as soon as possible (by one week before the beginning of the term at the latest!) in order to obtain a matriculation number and a log-in for the administration programme TISS by the start of term. These are the preconditions for the online-registration in the central design tutorials. It is necessary to participate in one of the International Office’s orientation and registration sessions that take place before the start of term.
The precise dates and times can be found at http://www.ai.tuwien.ac.at/international/index.php/incoming-english.html. They can also be obtained from the International Office via E-mail. Documents that you have to bring with you to Vienna: passport (ID-card) and bachelor’s certificate (if you have one).
Architecture – Recommended Arrival Date
It is recommended that students of the architecture course arrive in Vienna ca. two weeks before the beginning of the term so that they can enrol in time and/or take part in the applications for design studios, theoretical seminars and master’s modules.
