Professorial Appointment Procedures
The University Law of 2002, the Guidelines for the Appeal Procedure and the Notes to the Articles of Association "Guidelines for the Appeal Procedure" according to the decision of the Senate are valid for the professorial appointment procedures (only available in German). The procedures are conducted under the direction of the chairman of the appointment committee in accordance with the Rules of Procedure (only available in German).
Appointment committee members and experts must have the necessary distance from the applicants for an objective assessment. They must not be closely associated with the applicants' professional careers or with their private lives. In order to achieve this objective, the chairperson of the appeals committee must ensure that biases can be excluded in accordance with the criteria for exclusion of partiality.

On October 1st, 2023, Mag.arch. Juri TROY will be appointed university professor for timber construction and design. He was appointed for the BMLRT foundation professorship for design and timber construction in urban areas.
This project is funded by the Forest Fund, an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management and is carried out as part of the Think.Wood program of the Austrian Wood Initiative.
