Working Group on Equal Opportunities

The Working Group on Equal Opportunities of TU Wien offers information and support for members of the university in matters of equality between women and men, as well as equal treatment without distinction of sex, ethnicity, religion or belief, age or sexual orientation.

  • Accompanying control of professorial appointment procedures, admission procedures and appeal procedures.
  • Work against discrimination within the university.
  • Counseling and support in case of bullying or sexual harassment.
  • Information on gender equality, gender mainstreaming.

The work group is given special rights in the performance of its tasks, the members are independent and free of instructions in the performance of their duties and subject to official secrecy.

Each faculty nominates three members (2 main members, 1 substitute member) for the Working Group on Equal Opportunities (AKG).
