Computational Complex Systems
The Center for Computational Complex Systems was founded by five research groups of the TU Wien. Its aim is the development, exchange and mutual support in the analysis and modeling of complex processes and systems. Thanks to its broad participation, in addition to fundamentally oriented and application-oriented top-level research in "Enabling Technologies", direct exchange is also possible with application-driven research from many core areas of the TU Wien, making the Center a internationally novelty.
Concrete objectives of the Center are new approaches to modeling and simulating complex infrastructure systems in combination with dynamic, energetic, user and information processes as they occur in Smart Communities. A second focus is the analysis and simulation of complex decision-making processes and the development of tools for decision support. In order to support Smart Technologies, models for different questions are extended and transferred between the research areas.
