Anmeldung zum 17. Doktoratskolloquium

We are pleased to invite you to the 17th Doctoral Colloquium on 9 and 10 December 2026!

In May 2026, almost 30 doctoral researchers came together for two days of presentations and discussions, providing a multifaceted insight into the research activities across the Faculty’s various research areas. In the coming semester, the colloquium will once again provide a valuable platform for exchange and networking between doctoral researchers and faculty members, as well as a constructive setting for the further development of ongoing doctoral research projects.

Overview of the Event

The first day (9 December 2026, full day) will focus on doctoral researchers who are at an early stage of their dissertation projects. Through 10-minute poster presentations and moderated group discussions, participants will present their research projects and engage in discussion with their peers. The presentations will be supported by advanced doctoral researchers, who will participate as reviewers in the poster sessions for early-stage researchers.

The day will also feature several information sessions organised by the Dean’s Office for Academic Affairs, the Doctoral Center of TU Wien, and the Faculty’s Research School, followed by an informal gathering in the early evening.

The second day (10 December 2026, full day) will be dedicated to the reviews of advanced doctoral researchers. In the presence of their respective review juries and fellow doctoral researchers, participants will present and discuss the current state of their research projects.

We warmly invite you to present the current state of your doctoral research, engage with the work of your fellow doctoral researchers, ask questions, and exchange ideas with colleagues, faculty members, and experts.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS TOWARDS THE REGISTRATION

Pre-registration for the 17th Doctoral Colloquium will be possible via TISS between 23 September and 5 October 2026. Please confirm your final participation by 12 October 2026 by completing and submitting the registration form, which can be found in the corresponding TUWEL course.

If you are planning to submit a progress report by 28 February 2027, you can already do so via the aforementioned TUWEL course under the category Assessment Criteria.
